Quality Assurance Manager

Position summary

The Quality Assurance Manager develops and maintains the quality standards of our card-linking platform. You will be responsible for the integration of quality into the full SDLC of a project. You will need to understand business use cases, application functionality, integration points, performance and security and identify loopholes where they exist. You will be expected to work with business as well as engineering to apply quality controls and identify areas of growth. You will work with the testing team to help mentor best practices in SQA, coach and mentor to ensure that standards are met. You will drive the SQA process to ensure confidence in the quality of our software.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Understand the importance of testing alongside development
  • Understand, implement and improve company quality standards
  • Believes in transparency and understands that the communication of a clear result is as important as the result itself
  • Is a strong customer advocate, and understands that customers are both internal as well as external. The candidate can evaluate customer needs and ensure that the product is tested according to those needs
  • Apply principles, processes and tools of quality management, and define gaps in the current processes. Ensure that those gaps are followed through by a solid solution
  • Encourage and motivate team members towards achieving the highest standards in quality
  • Review current tools and trends and align the company processes accordingly
  • Review and analyze test cases and test plans and ensure they are meeting requirements
  • Manage integration testing and reporting both with internal as well as external clients
  • Actively participate in a Scrum team that focuses on delivering incremental results and constant improvement practices

The ideal candidate

  • At least 5 years experience in test case management
  • 7-10 years as a QA Lead with experience managing a team
  • Solid understanding on SQA processes and driving those processes within an organization
  • Has experience leading a team with a desire to help the team members reach their best
  • Has worked in iterative planning and execution in an agile environment
  • Experience with automated regression test planning and execution and large-scale performance testing and tools
  • Has worked in JIRA and used Zephyr for test case management

 

Bachelor’s degree in C.S. is preferred but not required. Must have legal right to work in the USA.
